OneSteel has a significant presence in Australian steel as an integrated manufacturer of steel and finished steel products. OneSteel is Australia’s premier manufacturer of steel long products and is a leading metals distribution company in Australia and New Zealand.

The company manufactures and distributes a wide range of steel products including hot rolled structural sections, rail, rod, bar, wire and structural pipe and RHS products, and distributes sheet and coil, plate and aluminium products.

OneSteel like many of Swift transport clients are an on demand business where clients can call up now and request goods onsite within the hour and if they cannot supply within their client’s needs the client will move onto the next supplier.

One OneSteel needs an on demand courier and taxi trucks services which they can call upon and is reliable which is where our relationship started with OneSteel.

Swift Transport has setup our fleet specifically targeted at supporting the likes of OneSteel and through our own innovation and vehicle designs we have been able to provide services to OneSteel no other carriers in the country can offer them, giving them the ability to carry up to 600kg at 6.5 metre lengths on a 1 Tonne Utility vehicle (legally).

Swift have developed and constructed a uniformed fleet of vehicles that are all engineer approved to carry these heavy weights and OneSteel’s most common product length 6 metres long. These vehicles significantly reduce OneSteel’s transport costs and improve their efficiencies to supply their clients as our fleet are more readily available and all vehicles have these capabilities.

On top of this we also have a large truck fleet range where we can also provide them with back up bulk goods including hiabs and semi-trailers. Therefore giving OneSteel a complete back-up solution for their business.
